Mason Waters
904-386-0624Mason Waters. Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. Since I was 5 years old, I have been on a boat. The love and passion all started when I first went to the keys back in 1998! Ever since that first trip, I have had this constant obsession with the ocean and all that comes with it.
After graduating college from the University of North Florida with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, I was set to start the police academy in September of 2019. However, before my start date, I kept having this thought of what if, what if I pursued a career in the yachting industry? Needless to say, I did just that. I called my recruiter at the academy and told him I had to at least try this, I was met with disbelief and hesitation, and my family did not take it well. I packed my bags and drove down to Ft. Lauderdale during the Boat Show of 2019. I began washing boats just trying to make a paycheck and get my name out there and after 6 months of washing, I was offered my first job on a 112’ motor yacht.
I spent the first 3 years of my yachting career with this program and earned my captain’s license during this time. Since then, I have spent time on a 112’, 121’, and a 125’ motor yachts. It was a great experience, and I learned a ton; however, it was time for the next phase of my career, yacht sales.
Being a yacht broker has been my goal since the early part of my career and is something I will spend the rest of my life doing, because I love it! Helping others pursue the same passion as me, and that is getting out on the water and experiencing that since of freedom!
