Mike Catania

Mike has been on the water since 1973 starting on fishing boats in Southern California. At the age of 19, he obtained his USGC 100 ton license. Since this time he has upgraded to and has held for the last 25 years his 3000 ton master oceans USCG license and also obtained his MCA 3000 ton Master license.

Through his career he has many opportunities to operate and be involved in the build of many vessels from commercial vessels to yachts up to 275’. His areas of operations have taken him from Australia, Patagonia, Alaska, Caribbean and Arctic sea.

Mikes’ build experience has seen him through refits of many large yachts and he spent 10 years at Westport Shipyard as customer service representative completing over 40 yachts to 164’. He has a great knowledge of regulatory and operational requirements.

As a salesman Mike has had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best in the business and has been involved in many significant sales transactions in yachting and with this experience and knowledge he can help guide you to a successful purchasing and ownership experience.
